Love is in the Air with Rhodochrosite Gemstones
February is here, and with it comes the opportunity to celebrate love in all its forms. Whether you are in a relationship or celebrating self-love, I have something special for you this month. I am so excited to share with you my newest one-of-a-kind creation, the Key to My Heart Pendant featuring a beautiful Rhodochrosite gemstone. But before I show you this special piece of jewelry, let’s look at what makes Rhodochrosite so unique.
Rhodochrosite is a rare gemstone found only in certain regions around the world. It has been mined and used as a semi-precious gemstone since ancient times, with some of the oldest specimens coming from Inca mines in South America. Its name comes from the Greek words “rhodon” and “khroma” which mean “rose” and “color” respectively. This is fitting because it features a deep pink color that resembles roses.
It is believed to be first found in Argentina and was believed to contain magical powers by the Incas who used it to decorate their tombs and temples. Traditionally, it was also used to create amulets that were thought to bring good luck and protection from negative energy. Today, rhodochrosite continues to be used in jewelry designs because of its beautiful pinkish-red color and its affirming message of love and joy.
Rhodochrosite has long been associated with love, passion, and compassion due to its pinkish hue. In fact, they say that this gemstone not only helps its wearer express love for themselves but also for those around them. It is also said to help its wearer open their hearts up to new experiences and possibilities.
