Mandela Earrings - P048
The Mandela Earrings are part of my Heritage Impression Series, a collection created to honor the history of jewelry making through wearable art.
Each pair is handcrafted from pewter and pressed using a impression die from Potter USA, recreated from historic steel hubs that were originally hand-carved in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These tools reflect how jewelry was made long before modern casting and allow those designs to continue living on through modern making.
After pressing, each piece is cut, shaped, patinated, and finished by hand to bring out the depth and detail of the impression. The earrings are completed with surgical-grade steel ear wires for comfortable, everyday wear.
This collection represents a different chapter of my work. One that embraces heritage tools, thoughtful process, and keeping jewelry history out in the world, worn and appreciated.

Pewter is lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. All earrings in this collection are finished with surgical-grade steel ear wires, making them suitable for most sensitive ears.
Care & Cleaning
To keep your pewter earrings looking their best:

If the surface darkens over time, a gentle hand polish with a soft cloth will refresh the finish.
Patina & Aging
Each piece is intentionally finished to highlight depth and detail. Over time, pewter may continue to darken slightly, enhancing the contrast in the design. This natural aging is expected and part of what makes each piece unique.
Handmade Nature
Because each earring is pressed, cut, and finished by hand, no two pairs are exactly alike. Small variations are a natural part of the process and a hallmark of handmade jewelry.
